11:05am | RDC and You: Looking Back and Moving Forward

With RDC celebrating its 40th Anniversary, we will be kicking off our Fall Virtual Meeting with a special opening session, starting with Cris Collie, former CEO of ERC/WERC, sharing his reflections on the great business partnership RDC has had over the years with ERC/WERC. Cris will then moderate a panel discussion with Kathy Connelly (2007 RDC President), Annie Hamilton (2016 RDC President) and Ryan Watroba (RDC Member, 2015 WERC YP40 President), with their insights of the value and importance of their being RDC members, reflections on the unprecedented events of 2020, and thoughts on what the future holds for relocation and real estate.

Introductions/Q&A:

Sue Kwaskeski, GDS, Coldwell Banker Premier Realty
Sue is the Vice President of Corporate Services for Coldwell Banker Premier Realty in Las Vegas, NV. She has been with the company for over 30 years with most of the time spent overseeing the Corporate Services Department which encompasses all aspects of Relocation, Business Development, Internet Lead and REO Services. For the past 5 years, her company was named a Platinum Award recipient and Top Tier Achiever within the Cartus Broker Network. In 2019 they were also a runner up for the coveted Cartus Masters Cup. She currently serves on both the Navy Federal Credit Union Advisory Council and Cartus Relocation Director’s Advisory Council. Sue is a member of the Relocation Director’s Council (RDC) and Worldwide Employee Relocation Council. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for RDC.  In 2015, Sue was the recipient of the 2015 “Women Who Mean Business” Award by the Las Vegas Business Press.

H. Cris Collie, Former CEO of ERC/WERC
Cris was CEO of Worldwide ERC® from 1972 through 2008 and grew the organization from a 300-member U.S.-centric organization to a global community of more than 13,000 members who hail from 65 countries. Under his leadership, the organization became the recognized authority on global workforce mobility issues. Following his stint at Worldwide ERC, Collie formed an Association Management Company, The Collie Gorg Group (CGG) with Brian Gorg and Megan Collie.  In addition to serving as the Founding Chairman of CGG, Collie also facilitates strategic planning for several non-profit groups.  Also, in 2019 Collie became a minority owner and was named Vice President of Dan’s Van Lines, LLC., a moving company headquartered in Springfield, VA.

  • Kathy Connelly, SCRP, GDS, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties 
    Kathy Connelly has been in the Relocation Industry for over 30 years starting her career as manager of destination services with a relocation management company. She has earned both the SCRP, GMS designations from Worldwide ERC® and SGDS from the Relocation Directors Council (RDC). She currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Services for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties where she recently celebrated her 26th year. As a member of the executive leadership team, she serves as the company’s qualifying broker and oversees management of the company’s corporate operations including relocation, property management, business development, international destination services, e-business, legal compliance and affiliated business partner relations.

  • Annie Hamilton, CRP, GDS, CENTURY 21 SCHEETZ
    Annie Hamilton is the Vice President, Relocation for CENTURY 21 Scheetz and for CENTURY 21 Global Mobility located in Indianapolis, IN. She has been in the Real Estate Industry for 22 years with 14 years being in the Corporate Relocation Division at CENTURY 21 Scheetz. In 2000 she earned her Real Estate Sales Person License and then 2007 earned her CRP (Certified Relocation Professional) Designation.

  • Ryan Watroba, SCRP, GMS, Coldwell Banker Prime Properties
    Ryan Watroba is the Senior Vice President of Business Development of Coldwell Banker Prime Properties (CBPP), based in Albany, NY. CBPP is a full-service real estate brokerage and is the #1 Coldwell Banker affiliate in NYS with 20+ offices and 600+ agents across Upstate New York. In his role, Watroba is responsible for the management of the brokerage’s Relocation Department and all services and team members responsible for assisting hundreds of corporate transferees annually. In addition to his work with the Relocation Department, Watroba is responsible for leading key initiatives to support the overall growth of the organization.

Prior to this position, I spent many years as a manager with a Relocation Company who supported a significant retailer. In 2017, I joined Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette team as the Relocation Director. My goal in this role is to support the relocation team and families moving to/from Northwest Arkansas, Southwest Missouri, and Eastern Oklahoma. These roles have helped me become more knowledgeable in all aspects of relocation benefits, home sale benefits, destination services, household goods, group moves, temporary accommodations, taxability, training programs, and various special relocation projects. Maya Angelou said it the best, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but will never forget how you made them feel."

Kim is VP, Relocation & Leads Division for the William Raveis Family of Companies with 130 company and affiliate offices servicing CT, MA, NY, RI, FL, ME and VT. Kim holds her CRP certification, is a member of Worldwide Employee Relocation Council, Relocation Directors Council, New England Relocation Association and New York Metro Group. Kim has served on the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Relocation Advisory Council and on the ReloDirect Strategy Council. Kim has served as a panelist and/or moderator for Worldwide Employee Relocation Council, Relocation Directors Council, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and the New England Relocation Association.

  • Craig Anderson, SCRP, SGMS, AECC Mobility
    Craig is a Vice President of AECC Mobility in Mt. Prospect Illinois. AECC is a privately held, specialty provider of U.S. and global financial and closing service administration to the employee relocation and talent mobility industry. Involved in relocation since 1981 Craig holds a BS in Accounting from DePaul University, a CPA accreditation, and an Illinois Real Estate Broker’s License. Craig has achieved the professional designations of Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP) and Senior Global Mobility Specialist (SGMS) from the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council. He has received both the Meritorious Service Award and is a two time recipient of Worldwide ERC’s Distinguished Service Award. Since 2002 Craig has been a member of the Public Policy Committee and now serves on Regulatory & Compliance, the Real Estate & Mortgage forums and is the acting Chair of the Tax forum of the Government Affairs Committee.

  • Bonnie Cameron, CRP, Aires
    Bonnie Cameron is the real estate Corporate Procurement Specialist at Aires. She has earned the Circle of Excellence Award for Outstanding Customer Service every year since joining Aires in 2011. Bonnie is an award-winning Real Estate professional with more than 23 years’ experience as a Realtor and Broker-owner. During her real estate career she specialized in luxury and lakefront properties, often working directly with architects, zoning boards, and civil engineers to assist her clients. Bonnie assisted attorneys as an expert witness for property valuation settlements.

  • Darren Wagner, CRP, Sterling Lexicon
    As the senior leader of Lexicon Real Estate Division, Darren manages the Premarketing and Inventory Team for Sterling Lexicon. Darren is also responsible for the Broker Network and the performance of the broker providers. Darren is a published relocation professional with more than 25 years’ experience in relocation, home sale program and property management, customer service and general business acumen. He has a broad background in real estate and corporate relocation industries. Expertly skilled in marketing, analysis, and client relations, Darren has strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Michelle Solly is the Relocation Director for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Professional Realty. She oversees Relocation and Referral activity for their 35 offices across Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Northern West Virginia. Michelle has a unique perspective working 14 years with a Relocation Management Company as well as having boots on the ground selling real estate in Southern California for several years. Her biggest passion is being able to connect people in order to help them accomplish their mutual goals. Michelle is a licensed Realtor as well as a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) through WERC (Worldwide Employee Relocation Council). She is an active member of WERC, Relocation Directors Council, Northeast Ohio Relocation Roundtable and Great Lakes Relocation Council.

Susie Gray brings over 20 years relocation and real estate experience to her clients. She started as a new sales agent at Comey & Shepherd in 1997. In 2004 she became the Corporate Inventory Homes Manager at Sibcy Cline Realtors and in 2007 went to Coldwell Banker West Shell as the Inventory and Home Sale Specialist for the Greater Cincinnati area. Susie joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors in 2014 as the Vice President of Relocation. In 2018 she also became the Broker Incoming & Outgoing Referral Coordinator. Susie is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Relocation Council and was CRP certified in 2015. Susie offers her vast experience, extensive knowledge and excellent staff; providing clients with the best professional and marketing services available.

    Jonathan Cohen has worked in the mobility industry for more than 25 years. His experience is well-rounded and includes both domestic and international exposure in various roles with different organizations. Jonathan has held positions with relocation management companies, supplier partners, corporate clients direct, relocation departments within real estate brokerages and commercial finance institutions. This experience affords the ability to understanding and consider varying perspectives with multiple stakeholders. Jonathan currently maintains Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designations as well as a Real Estate Brokers License. He is also an active member of the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council, Relocation Directors Council, Birmingham Business Alliance and former board member of the Inter-Mountain Relocation Council and Economic Development Corporation of Utah.

  • Tonya Hamilton, SCRP, GMS, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Woodmont Realty
    Tonya Hamilton serves as the Vice President of Relocation and Business Development for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Woodmont Realty in Nashville, Tennessee. She has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and a M.B.A from Cumberland University. Tonya received her SCRP designation in 2013 and has her GMS designation from the Employee Relocation Council. Awards under her direction include the PRS Keystone Award for Incoming Broker-to-Broker Referral Activity, the North American Group Move Support Award and the Regional Performance Award for Inventory Performance. Tonya was also named Prudential Relocation’s 2007 Corporate Services Director of the Year and in 2009 she was selected as one of Nashville Business Journal’s Top Forty Under 40.

  • Pam Metzger, CRP, GDS, WK Real Estate
    Pam Metzger has worked professionally in real estate and relocation since 2003. Pam’s career in relocation and community involvement is marked by a number of principal activities and designations, including past Chairman and Member of the LeadingRE Relocation Advisory Council, Worldwide ERC’s Certified Relocation Professional® designation, and the Relocation Directors Council ‘s Global Destination Specialist designation. In recent years she has received both the Chairman’s and President’s Awards for Service from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Local involvements include the Board of Directors for Boulder Area Human Resources Association, Chairman of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce Business Women’s Leadership Group, member of the Longmont Economic Development Partnership and the Rocky Mountain Relocation Council.
